Shadow Shaft handed the note to Crystal, who stared at it and passed it to me.

While I was still trying to figure out what ‘Acerodon Jubatus’ was, Crystal said, “It’s a recipe for ‘Bat Burgers’?”[1]

“Including their ‘Secret Sauce’,” added Shadow Shaft.

I suspected a code or cypher, but Crystal wasn’t versed in such things.

“What the hell?” asked Crystal.

“Standard procedure,” said Shadow Shaft. “This part of the operation looks like industrial espionage.”

“For recipes?” exclaimed Crystal.

“Human-food is big business,” said Shadow Shaft. “Cheedo Hut is the goblin McDonalds. There’s billions of crapers at stake.” [2]
